Notice is given that, as the council member in electoral Area 3 (Last Midlands and East Anglia), Ian Christison, was elected vice-president at the June 2003 AGM, a new candidate is sought to represent Area 3 on council. The casual vacancy will be until the close of the AGM 2005, as prescribed by bye-law 39(b). At the close of the AGM 2005, the successful candidate may stand for re-election for a further three-year term, in accordance with bye-law 38. Nominations for candidates to fill this casual vacancy may be made by any six or more members (three of whom must be follows) whose official addresses(see note1 below)are in Area 3.

Nomination foams for candidates, who must be fellows of the institute, may be obtained from the head of secretariat, Jackie Holmes, at 26 Chapter Street, London, SW I P 4NP, or from jackie.holmes@cimaglohal.com. All area and branch secretaries in Area 3 also hold copies of nomination forms. Nominations must be received on the prescribed form (faxes must be followed by the original) by the chief executive at 26 Chapter Street, London, SW1 P 4NP, by noon on Monday 6 October 2003.
