HEREAS the Minister of Health has made the
Provisional Orders set forth in the First Schedule
hereto under the provisions of the Public Health Act

And whereas
it
is requisite that the said Orders
should be confirmed by Parliament:
Be

therefore enacted by the King's most Excellent
Majesty

and with the advice and consent
of
the Lords
Spiritual and Temporal and Commons in this present
Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same
as follows

Provisional Order
for
altering the Broadstairs and
Xt.
Peter’s Water and Improvement

the Broudstairs and
Xt.
Peter’s Urban District
Water
Act
1907.
WHEREAS the Urban District Council of Broadstairs and
St Peter’s (hereinafter referred to
as
the Council
”)
are the
local authority within the meaning of the Public Health Act
1875 for the Urban District of Broadstairs and St. Peter’s
(hereinafter referred to as
‘‘
the District
’I.)
and the unrepealed
provisions of the Broadstairs and St. I’eter’s Water and Improve-
ment Act 1901 and the Broadstairs and St. Peter’s Urban Ihiti-ict
Water Act 1907 (each of which
Acts
is hereinafter referred to
as
the Act
of
the year in which it was passed and which Acts
are hereinafter collectively referred to
as
the Local Acts ”)
are in force in the District
;
And whereas in pursuance of the Act
of
1901 the
Council are authorised
to
supply water within the limits defined
by Section
5
of
that Act which limits are hereinafter referred
to
as
the water limits of the Council
;
And whereas by Sections 39 and
40
of
the Act
of
1901 and
Section 19 of the Act
of
1907 as modified by
ai
order made by
the Minister of Health under the Statutory Undertakings
(Temporary lncrease
of
Charges) Act 1918 and dated the
Fifteenth day of February One thousand nine hundred and
twenty-one provision
is
made with respect to the rates at which
the Council shall furnish a sufficient sapply
of
water for
domestic purposes the additional charges payable in respect
of
every mater-closet beyond the first
and
for every fixed bath
capable of containing not more than fifty gallons and the
maximum price to be charged for a supply of water by
rne;isure
;
,4nd whereas by Section 112 of the Act
of
1901 provision
was
made with regard to any sinking fund which might be
formed and maintained by the Council for the repayment of
any moneys repayable
in
accordance with the provisions of that
,4ct and by Section
25
of
the Act of 1907 the said Section 112
was with other provisions
of
the Act
of
1901
applied with the
necessary modifications for the purposes
of
the
Act
of
1907
as
if
the said Section was therein re-enacted
;
and
