The Monopolies and Mergers Commission (Increase in Membership) Order 1982

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 4(3) of the Fair Trading Act 1973(a) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Monopolies and Mergers Commission (Increase in Membership) Order 1982 and shall come into operation on 12th July 1982.

2. The maximum number of regular members of the Monopolies and Mergers Commission is hereby increased to thirty-two.

3. The Monopolies and Mergers Commission (Increase in Membership) Order 1977(b) is hereby revoked.
