Excise Act, 1835 (5 6 Will. IV., c. 39), s. 7 - Intoxicating Liquor Act (Northern Ireland), 1923 (13 14 Geo. V., c. 12) s. 9.

Justices of the Peace have power to grant a theatre licence to perform plays, etc., under the implied authority contained in 5 & 6 Will. IV., c. 39, s. 7. A licence for the sale of intoxicating liquor, granted in pursuance of that section, is not a licence within the meaning of the Intoxicating Liquor Act (N. I.), 1923.
