The Motor Vehicles (Authorisation of Special Types) (Amendment) Order 1995

Coming into force 1st January 1996

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 44 of the Road Traffic Act 19881, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—

This Order further amends the Motor Vehicles (Authorisation of Special Types) General Order 1979.

The maximum permitted overall width of certain motor vehicles constructed or adapted for use as grass cutters or hedge trimmers and which are authorised for use on roads, notwithstanding that they do not comply in all respects with the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986 (S.I. 1986/1078) (“the Construction and Use Regulations”), is increased from 2.5 metres to 2.55 metres.
