The National Savings Stock Register (Amendment) Regulations 1993

Coming into force 7th April 1993

The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 3 of the National Debt Act 19721and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:—

S-1 These Regulations may be cited as the National Savings Stock...

1. These Regulations may be cited as the National Savings Stock Register (Amendment) Regulations 1993 and shall come into force on 7th April 1993.

S-2 The National Savings Stock Register Regulations 1976 shall be...

2. The National Savings Stock Register Regulations 19762shall be amended in regulations 5A(1), (3), (4) and 7(1) by substituting for the figures “£10,000” the figures “£25,000”.

These Regulations amend the National Savings Stock Register Regulations 1976 so as to raise from £10,000 to £25,000 two limits imposed by those Regulations. These relate to the nominal value of stock of any one issue which may be registered in the National Savings Stock Register in the name of any person under regulation 5(5) (subscription of stock through the Bank of England) and the value of stock of any one description which may be purchased on any one day under regulation 6 (purchase of stock through the National Debt Commissioners).
