RE : NI Network Gas Transmission Code Modification No 12 – Brexit Modifications
Thank you for your recent submission of the Final Modification Report (FMR) in respect of the
above named modification.
The purpose of the Proposed Modification is to update in the NI Network Gas Transmission
Code with appropriate references to the legislation which has now been enacted in relation to
Brexit. This includes changes to amend or remove references to the EU, EU bodies and
institutions. It also covers some other consequential changes within the text of the NI Network
Gas Transmission Network Code.
Authority review and conclusions
The Utility Regulator has considered the information provided in this FMR. We note that the
Transporter received no response to the Initial Modification Report (IMR). No changes were
made to the Proposed Modification following the consultation.
We note that the Transporter anticipates no impact from the Proposed Modification on
operation of the networks of Designated Pipeline Operators, Adjacent Transporters and/or
Relevant NI Agreements.
We are content that the proposal would better facilitate the ‘Relevant Objective’. In particular
the proposal would support the efficient operation of the network by ensuring that certain
