THE TAS-HAGEN JUDGMENT
e Tas-Hagen judgment concerns refusa l of a victims of war bene t on the grounds
that the applicant did not reside in the Netherlands at the date of application.  e
Court decided that t his refusal was not consistent with Ar ticle 18 EC.

the Law on Bene ts for Civilian War Victims, hereina er ‘the PUR’) concerning
the latter’s refusal to gra nt them various bene ts to whic h they clai m to be e ntitl ed
as civilia n war victims.
