The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Whereas it is expedient to amend the Northern Rhodesia (Native Trust Land) Order in Council, 1947(c), (hereinafter called the principal Order) in the manner hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, Her Majesty, in pursuance of the powers vested in Her by the Foreign Jurisdiction Act, 1890(d), or otherwise in Her Majesty vested, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—

Citation, construction and commencement

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Northern Rhodesia (Native Trust Land) (Amendment) Order in Council, 1954, and shall be read and construed as one with the principal Order.

(2) The principal Order and this Order may be cited together as the Northern Rhodesia (Native Trust Land) Orders in Council, 1947 and 1954.

(3) This Order shall come into operation on the fourth day of September, 1954, and shall be published in the Northern Rhodesia Gazette.

2. The Schedule to the principal Order shall include and shall be deemed always to have included in the list of townships set out in paragraph (c) of the description of Area No. 1 the word "Mumbwa".
