NOTES
FOR
CONTRIBUTORS
POLITICS appears twice a year and contributions dealing with substantive issues
of
current
interest in any area
of
political
science are
invited.
Articles will be evaluated by a Board meet-
ing ofall the Editors in
terms
of
academic importance and
clarity
of presentation. POLITICS
is
committed only to general standards
of
academic debate, and all contributions will be con-
sidered without prejudice to the area of politid science covered
or
the viewpoints expressed.
Only original papers
will
be accepted, i.e. duplication
or
overlap with material published
elsewhere should
be
avoided. Articles commissioned by the Editors are,
like
all
other submis-
sions, subject
to
the
normal reviewing proc~ures. The final decision
as
regards publication
lies with the General Editor.
All
contributions should not exceed a maximum of3,000 words; we are normally unable to
consider material beyond this limit! The Editorial
Board
is
keen
to
encourage the submission
ofshort responses and critiques plus
more
extensive
review
articles and study guides useful
for
undergraduate teaching.
We
especially welcome contributions from postgraduates. Harvard
referencing is preferred and footnotes should
be
avoided
if
possible. The Editors will be happy
to advise authors, and potential contributors are strongly urged
to
request a style sheet from
the General Editor

Vicky Randall) at the Faculty
