4 | Time limit for making an appeal/application/reference |
An appellant is required to lodge an appeal with the Tribunalusuallywithin 28 calendar days (14days for trainee driving instructors, 90 days for REACH appeals) of the date on which notice of the act or decision to which the proceedings relate was sent to the appellant (see explanatory notes). The Tribunalmay accept a notice of appeal outside this time limit under certain circumstances. For the Tribunalto do this, you should request an extension of time and provide reasons why it is late. The Tribunalwill then consider whether to grant you the extra time you have asked for.
