ATOMIC ENERGY AND RADIOACTIVE SUBSTANCES
The Nuclear Installations (Application of Security Provisions) Order 1993

Coming into force 24th March 1993
Whereas the Secretary of State has granted a permit to Urenco (Capenhurst) Limited under section 2(1) of the Nuclear Installations Act 19651authorising the use of its site at Capenhurst in the County of Cheshire for the treatment of uranium such as to increase the proportion of the isotope 235 contained therein for purposes other than, or not limited to, research and development;
Now, therefore, the Secretary of State, in exercise of his powers under section 2(1B) of the Nuclear Installations Act 19652and all other powers in that behalf enabling him, hereby orders as follows:
1. This Order may be cited as the Nuclear Installations (Application of Security Provisions) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 24th March 1993.
2. The provisions set out in Schedule 1 to the Nuclear Installations Act 19653shall have effect in relation to Urenco (Capenhurst) Limited.

This Order applies to Urenco (Capenhurst) Limited the security provisions set out in Schedule 1 to the Nuclear Installations Act 1965, as amended.
