The Pedlars' Certificates (Variation of Fee) Order 1981

In pursuance of sections 35(2) and 40 of, and paragraph 8 of Part II of Schedule 3 to, the Local Government Act 1966(a), I hereby make the following Order:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Pedlars' Certificates (Variation of Fee) Order 1981 and shall come into operation on 4th January 1982.

2. Section 5 of the Pedlars Act 1871(b) (grant of pedlars' certificate) shall be amended in regulation (3) by substituting for the sum of £7 the sum of £9.

3. The Pedlars' Certificates (Variation of Fee) Order 1980(c) is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This Note is not part of the Order.)

This Order increases from £7 to £9 the fee payable in England and Wales for a pedlar's certificate under the Pedlars Act 1871.
