Her Majesty, in pursuance of the power conferred upon Her by section 40 of the Plant Varieties and Seeds Act 1964, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Plant Varieties and Seeds (Isle of Man) Order 1969 and shall come into operation on 1st January 1970.

The provisions of Part I (Plant Breeders' Rights), and of Part IV (General) in its application to the said Part I, of the Plant Varieties and Seeds Act 1964, as extended by the Plant Varieties and Seeds (Northern Ireland) Order 19641and as amended by section 43 of, and the first entry in Schedule 7 to, the Agriculture (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1968, shall extend to the Isle of Man subject to the exceptions, adaptations and modifications specified in the Schedule to this Order.

SCHEDULE

EXCEPTIONS, ADAPTATIONS AND MODIFICATIONS IN THE EXTENSION OF THE PLANT VARIETIES AND SEEDS ACT 1964 TO THE ISLE OF MAN

SCH-1.1

1. In section 4(1)(b) and (2) for the words wherever they occur there shall be substituted the words .
