The Police (Appeals) (Amendment) Rules 1965

In exercise of the powers conferred on me by paragraph 5 of Schedule 5 to the Police Act 1964(a), I hereby make the following Rules:—

1. In the Schedule to the Police (Appeals) Rules 1965(b) (which relates to the form of a notice of appeal) for the words "I desire to appeal against the said [finding and punishment] [finding]." there shall be substituted the following words:—

"[I desire to appeal against the said finding and punishment.]

[I do not desire to appeal against the said finding but desire to appeal against the said punishment.]".

2. These Rules may be cited as the Police (Appeals) (Amendment) Rules 1965 and shall come into operation on 5th July 1965.

(This Note is not part of the Rules.)

These Rules amend the Police (Appeals) Rules 1965 and clarify the form of the notice of appeal to be given in the case of an appeal against punishment only.
