The Presumption of Death (Scotland) Act 1977 (Commencement) Order 1978

In exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 20(2) of the Presumption of Death (Scotland) Act, 1977(a), I hereby make the following order:—

1.—(1) This order may be cited as the Presumption of Death (Scotland) Act 1977 (Commencement) Order 1978.

(2) The Interpretation Act 1889(b) shall apply for the interpretation of this order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

2. The Presumption of Death (Scotland) Act 1977 shall come into force on 1st March 1978.
