Desertion -Order for arrears of maintenance - How enforced - Married Women (Maintenance in Case of Desertion) Act, 1886 (49 50 Vict. c. 52), s.1 (1).
The Court of Appeal in Northern Ireland, affirming the decision of a Divisional Court, held that there is jurisdiction at Petty Sessions to order imprisonment in default of payment of arrears of instalments for maintenance.
