The mother of two minors, who were domiciled in Northern Ireland, had been appointed their guardian by the Chief Justice of Northern Ireland and had been given liberty to apply to the Chief Justice of the Irish Free State to have transferred to the High Court in Northern Ireland funds standing to the credit of the minors in the High Court in the Irish Free State. These funds were the only property the minors possessed. The mother applied accordingly to have these funds transferred to the respective credits of the minors in the High Court in Northern Ireland:—Held that, on the evidence, as the welfare of the minors required that the scheme of the Chief Justice of Northern Ireland for their maintenance should be financed out of the funds in Court, three-fourths of...
