Multi-agency review framework for work with MDOs
Despite many reports on the shortcomings of inter-agency work with mentally
disordered offenders, and various initiatives to improve local collaboration, the
quality and consistency of such work remains variable. Consequently, the Revolv-
ing Doors Agency, which works with people with mental health problems in contact
with the criminal justice system, has developed an interactive CD-Rom intended to
help services evaluate existing arrangements, prioritize local needs, formulate an
action plan and proceed with future planning and joint working. The CD-Rom and
user guide are available for £175 from the Revolving Doors Development
Manager, Laura Thorne. Tel: 020 7253 4038. Email: partnerships@revolving-
doors.co.uk
Revolving Doors also offers a half-day workshop to go with the
package, which aims to set out the policy context and generate a customized action
plan, total cost £500.

on subjects such as women and crime, youth justice and prisons, as well as a
discussion forum and regular polls on criminal justice topics of contemporary
importance. Can be accessed through the CCJS website: http://www.kcl.ac.uk/ccjs
