An Act for more effectually repairing and otherwise
improving the Roads from Hurdldw House in the
County of Derby to Manchester in the County
Palatine of Lancaster, and other Roads therein
mentioned, in the said Counties and in the County
Palatine of Chester. [1st June 1829.]
HEREAS an Act was passed in the Fifth Year of the
Reign of His present Majesty King George the Fourth,
intituled An Act for
more effectually repairing
and improving

the Roads from Hurdlow House in the County of Derby to Manchester
in the
County
Palatine o/Xancaster, and
other
Roads in
the said Counties
and in the County Palatine of Chester: And whereas the Trustees
appointed in or or by virtue of the said recited Act have proceeded
to put the same into execution : And whereas it would be beneficial
if the said recited Act were repealed, and further and more effectual
Powers granted for repairing, widening, diverting, and improving the
Roads comprised in the said Act; but the beneficial Purposes afore-
said cannot be effected without the Aid and Authority of Parliament-:
May it therefore please Your Majesty that it may be enacted; and
be it enacted by the King's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the
Advice and Consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and
Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the Authority
of the same, That from and after the passing of this Act the said Recited Act
recited Act shall be and the same is hereby declared to be repealed, repealed.
and null and void to all Intents and Purposes whatsoever.
