Her Majesty, by virtue and in exercise of Her powers under sections 5 and 7 of the West Indies Act 1962(a), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—
Citation, construction and commencement.
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Saint Vincent Constitution (Amendment) Order 1968.
(2) This Order shall be construed as one with the Saint Vincent (Constitution) Order in Council 1959(b), as amended(c) (hereinafter called "the principal Order"), and the Saint Vincent Constitution Orders 1959 to 1967(d) and this Order may be cited together as the Saint Vincent Constitution Orders 1959 to 1968.
(3) This Order shall come into operation on 19th July 1968.
Amendment of s. 12 of Order of 1959.
2. Section 12 of the principal Order is amended by the deletion of subsection (1) and the substitution of the following subsection:—
"(1) There shall be an Executive Council in and for Saint Vincent which, subject to section 16 of this Order, shall consist of a Chief Minister, not more than five other Ministers and one ex-officio member, namely, the principal law officer.".
Amendment of s. 13 of Order of 1959.
3. Section 13 of the principal Order is amended by the deletion from subsection (2) of the words " and the other appointed member of the Executive Council (hereinafter referred to as the member without portfolio)".
Amendment of s. 14 of Order of 1959.
4. Section 14 of the principal Order is amended—
(a) by the deletion from subsection (2) of the words "or the member without portfolio"; and
(b) by the deletion from subsection (3) of the words "and the member without portfolio ".

5. Section 16 of the principal Order is amended—
