Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by section 88(5) of the Scotland Act 19981, and of all other powers enabling Her in that behalf, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:–

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Scotland Act 1998 (Cross-Border Public Authorities) (Specification) Order 1999.

(2) This Order shall come into force on the principal appointed day2.

2. The bodies, government departments, offices and office-holders mentioned in column 1 of the Schedule to this Order (and which are constituted by the enactment or, as the case may be, instrument, if any, mentioned in the corresponding entry in column 2 of that Schedule) are hereby specified for the purposes of section 88(5) of the Scotland Act 1998.
