W Green & Son launched this monthly periodical in October 2007. I looked for details of an editorial board, but found none. The General Editor is Thomas Welsh, QC, Sheriff at Hamilton. The periodical is aimed at the criminal law practitioner, but academics and students will also find it of value.

This first issue contains two articles by advocates: one on “Sexual crimes and problems of proof” by Peter Ferguson QC, and a note on disclosure of evidence in appeals by Chris Shead. Mr Shead's note includes the suggestion that disclosure may become an issue in the Lockerbie appeal, and indeed this has proved to be the case. A section entitled “personal opinion” contains two contributions from a solicitor (Joe Beltrami) and one from an academic (James Chalmers).
