Present,
the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council
Whereas a draft of the following Or der was laid before, and appr oved by resolution of the Sc ottish
Parliament:
Now, therefore, Her Ma jesty, in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by secti on 3(2)(b) of the
Scottish Public Services Ombudsm an Act 2002(a) and of all other powers enabling Her in that
behalf, is pleased, by and with the advic e of Her Privy Council, to orde r, and it is hereby ordered,
as follows:
Citation and commencement
1. This Order may be cited as the Scotti sh Public Services Om budsman Act 2002
(Amendment) Order 20 02 and shall come into force on 23rd October 200 2.
2. Part 2 of Schedule 2 to The Scottish Public Ser vices Ombudsman Act 2002 (Listed
Authorities, Entries Amenda ble by Order in Council) is amen ded by omitting the entry in rela tion
to Traffic Commissioner for the Scottish Traffic Area (numbered 86).

(a) 2002 asp.11. Section 3(2) provides for the power conferred therein to be exercised by Her Majesty by Order in
Council. Section 24(2) provides th at no recommendation to make an Order in Council under section 3(2) is to be made
to Her Majesty in Council unless a draft of the Order has been laid before, and approved by resolution of, the Scottish
Parliament.
