DOUGLAS BELL
Boredom and vandalism amongst young teenage clients in a run-down mining
village provided the spark for the author’s involvement in outdoor activities
with clients. With a life-long interest and participation in outdoor activities
and with a leadership experience in the scout association and youth clubs, he
started cycling activities in 1967 and it has developed into a useful Intermediate
Treatment provision.
