'ITEM, It is ordained and assented, That every Sheriff ofEngland shall abide in proper Person within his Bailiwick, for the Time that he shall be such Officer; (2) and that he shall not let the said Bailiwick to farm to any Man, for the Time that he occupieth such Office; (2) and that the said Sheriff be sworn from Time to Time to do the same in special, *amongst other Articlescomprised in the Oath of the Sheriff.'
