The Supreme Court Fees (Amendment) Order 197610thSeptember 1976

The Lord Chancellor, the Judges of the Supreme Court and the Treasury, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in them respectively by section 213 of the Supreme Court of Judicature (Consolidation) Act 1925(a), section 365(3) of the Companies Act 1948(b) and sections 2 and 3 of the Public Offices Fees Act 1879(c), do hereby, according as the provisions of the said enactments respectively authorise and require them, make, advise, concur in, sanction and consent to the following Order:—
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Supreme Court Fees (Amendment) Order 1976 and shall come into operation on 11th October 1976.
(2) The Interpretation Act 1889(d) shall apply to the interpretation of this Order as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
2. The Schedule to the Supreme Court Fees Order 1975(e) shall be amended as follows:—
(a) In Fee No. 1(i) for "15·00" in column 2 there shall be substituted "20·00".
(b) For Fee No. 5 there shall be substituted the following fee:—
Column 1 Column 2 Column 3 "5.—(i) On an application to examine a judgment debtor before an officer of the court 2·00 The order (ii) On the examination of a wit- ness before an officer of the court 5·00 The praecipe"
(a) 1925 c. 49.
(b) 1948 c. 38.
(c) 1879 c. 58.
(d) 1889 c. 63.
(e) S.I. 1975/1343 (1975 II, p. 4551).
(c) In Fees Nos. 60 and 61 for "250·00" in column 2 there shall in each case be substituted "500·00".
