The Agricultural Wages Committee (Wales) Order 2007

Coming into force 1st March 2007
The National Assembly for Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(1) of the Agricultural Wages Act 19481, makes the following Order:
Title, commencement, application and interpretation
1. The title of this Order is the Agricultural Wages Committee (Wales) Order 2007, it comes into force on 1 March 2007 and applies in relation to Wales.
Amendment of the Agricultural Wages Committees (Areas) Order 1974
2. The Agricultural Wages Committees (Areas) Order 19742is amended as follows:
(a) in Article 3(1) replace the word “Wales” with the words “an agricultural wages committee for the combination of all the counties in Wales”;
(b) in Part I of the Schedule, delete the words “Counties in Wales Clwyd Dyfed Gwent Gwynedd Powys”; and
(c) in Part II of the Schedule, delete the words “Counties in Wales Mid Glamorgan, South Glamorgan and West Glamorgan”.

This Order establishes one agricultural wages committee for the combination of all the counties in Wales by making the necessary amendments to the Agricultural Wages Committees (Areas) Order 1974.
