EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Copyright and Performances (Application to Other Countries) Order 2012 ( S.I.2012/799).

The amendments made by Article 2(2) to add an entry relating to Jersey in the Schedule to SI 2012/799are in consequence of the repeal of the provisions of the Copyright Act 1911 as they apply to Jersey and their replacement by Part 1 of the Intellectual Property (Unregistered Rights) (Jersey) Law 2011. The amendments to SI 2012/799ensure continuity of protection in the United Kingdom of copyright works created in Jersey.
