The Davies Lane Infant School (Change to School Session Times) Order 2004

Laid before Parliament 13th July 2004

Coming into force 6th August 2004

Whereas the governing body of the Davies Lane Infant School has, in accordance with section 4(2) of the Education Act 20021(“the Act”), consulted the local education authority which maintains the school and such other persons as appear to it to be appropriate, having regard to guidance given by the Secretary of State;

Whereas it is the opinion of the Secretary of State, having regard to the matters set out in section 1(2) of the Act, that the implementation by the governing body of the school of this project may contribute to the raising of the educational standards achieved by children in England;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred upon the Secretary of State by section 2(1) of the Act the Secretary of State for Education and Skills hereby makes the following Order:

S-1 Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Davies Lane Infant School (Change to School Session Times) Order 2004 and shall come into force on 6th August 2004.

S-2 Exemption from School Session Times Regulations

Exemption from School Session Times Regulations

2. The Changing of School Session Times (England) Regulations 19992shall not apply to the governing body of Davies Lane Infant School of Davies Lane, Leytonstone, E11 3DR.

S-3 Time Limit

3. This Order shall have effect until 31st August 2004.

This Order is made under section 2 of the Education Act 2002. Article 2 provides that the Changing of School Session Times (England) Regulations 1999 do not apply to the governing body of Davies Lane Infant School. Article 3 specifies that the Order shall have effect until 31st August 2004.
