The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 97(5) of the Courts Act 2003hereby makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Discharge of Fines by Unpaid Work (Pilot Schemes) Order 2004 and shall come into force on 21st September 2004.

2. Schedule 6 to the Courts Act 2003 (Discharge of Fines by Unpaid Work) is to have effect in relation to the petty sessions areasspecified in the Schedule to this Order for the period beginning on 21st September 2004 and ending on 31st March 2005.
