The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 4(5) of the Freedom of Information Act 20001.

S-1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

Citation, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Freedom of Information (Removal of References to Public Authorities) Order 2011.

(2) This Order comes into force on 1st October 2011.

(3) In this Order, “the Act” means the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

S-2 Removal of references to public authorities

Removal of references to public authorities

2.—(1) In Part 6 of Schedule 1 to the Act (other public bodies and offices: general) omit the entries listed in Part 1 of the Schedule to this Order.

(2) In Part 7 of Schedule 1 to the Act (other public bodies and offices: Northern Ireland) omit the entries listed in Part 2 of the Schedule to this Order.
