These Regulations may be cited as the Immigration (European Economic Area) Regulations 2006 and shall come into force on 30

(1) In these Regulations—

“the 1971 Act” means the Immigration Act 1971 ;
“the 1999 Act” means the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 ;
“the 2002 Act” means the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002;

(2) Paragraph (1) is subject to paragraph 1(a) of Schedule 4 (transitional provisions) .(3) Section 11 of the 1971 Act (construction of references to entry) shall apply for the purpose of determining whether a person has entered the United Kingdom for the purpose of these Regulations as it applies for the purpose of determining whether a person has entered the United Kingdom for the purpose of that Act.
