This Order is made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 9(2) of the Justice and Security (Northern Ireland) Act 20071.
In accordance with section 9(7)(b) of that Act, a draft of this Order was laid before Parliament and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament.
Accordingly the Secretary of State makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1. This Order may be cited as the Justice and Security (Northern Ireland) Act 2007 (Extension of duration of non-jury trial provisions) Order 2009 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.
