THE
MODERN
LAW
REVIEW
VOl.
I
MARCH,

No.

N
presenting this last number of the first volume
of
the
MODERN
LAW REVIEW the Editorial Board and Committee take the
opportunity to thank all those who have assisted them whether
by contributions or subscriptions. The reception accorded to the
REVIEW has been favourable and the support quite as good as
could be expected for a new venture.
If
a similar growth can be
achieved during the next year the future should be assured.
The Committee are conscious that they have not been able
so
far to achieve a number
of
their objectives.
It
has not proved
easy to obtain contributions in the border territory between law
and economics, sociology, political science, and the other fields
of study with which we are hoping to collaborate. This indicates
that there
is
a paucity of workers in this field, but we have reason
to believe that increasing attention will be paid to it, and are
not without hopes
of
eventually fulfilling our ambitions along
these lines. We may add that we shall always be grateful for any
suggestions or criticisms which any
of
our readers may be pleased
to send to us.
We are glad
to
say that the following articles have been
secured for the next number-
THE NATURE
OF
TORTIOUS LIABILITY.
By Professor
A.
L.
GOODHART,
D.C.L., LL.D.
LEGISLATION RESULTING FROM THE LAW REVISION
COMMITTEE’S REPORTS.
By John

May we appeal to all who have helped during the past year
to
renew their support in the future.
