The Police Pensions (Contributions) Amendment (Scotland) Regulations 2014

The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 of the Police Pensions Act 1976( 1) and all other powers enabling them to do so.
In accordance with section 1(1) of that Act, they have consulted with the Police Negotiating Board for the United Kingdom( 2).
Citation, commencement and extent
1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Police Pensions (Contributions) Amendment (Scotland) Regulations 2014.
(2) These Regulations come into force on 1st April 2014.
(3) These Regulations extend to Scotland only.
Amendment of the Police Pensions Regulations 1987
2. (1) Regulation G2 (pension contribution payable by regular policeman) of the Police Pensions Regulations 1987( 3) is amended as follows.
(2) In paragraph (1)-
(a) in sub-paragraph (a), for "8.7" substitute "9";(b) in sub-paragraph (b), for "12.2" substitute "12.5".(3) In paragraph (2)-

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations amend the Police Pensions Regulations 1987 (as regards Scotland) and the Police Pensions (Scotland) Regulations 2007 to adjust the pension contributions of police officers as from 1st April 2014.
