WE
HAVE
to record with deep regret the deaths of Professor K.
J.
Scott of the Victoria Uni-
versity
of
Wellington, New Zealand, who was well
known
to many of our members and had been
Editor of the New Zealand journal,
Political Science,
since
1959;
and of Professor R. Bassett
of the London School
of
Economics and Political Science. Amongst his other distinctions
Professor Bassett was very active in the founding of the Political Studies Association of the
United Kingdom, and he was the first Secretary-Treasurer of the Association.
C. J. Hughes of Leicester will succeed

B. Miller in the Chair
of
Politics there.

Bromhead of Durham succeeds to the Chair of Political Theory and Government at Swansea.
