Coming into force 16th March 2022
The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 88(6) of the Marine (Scotland) Act 20101and all other powers enabling them to do so.
In accordance with section 88(7) of that Act, the Scottish Ministers intend to make a marine conservation order (a “permanent order”) in respect of the Red Rocks and Longay MPA2(in accordance with the requirements of section 87 of that Act), and they have published notice of their proposal to make the permanent order3.
Citation and commencement
1. This Order may be cited as the Red Rocks and Longay Urgent Marine Conservation (No. 2) Order 2021 (Urgent Continuation) Order 2022 and comes into force on 16 March 2022.
Continuation of the Red Rocks and Longay Urgent Marine Conservation (No. 2) Order 2021 and duration in force
2. The Red Rocks and Longay Urgent Marine Conservation (No. 2) Order 20214is to remain in force until the end of 10 March 2023.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order is an “urgent continuation order” which provides that the Red Rocks and Longay Marine Conservation (No. 2) Order 2021 (“the 2021 Order”), an “urgent marine conservation order”, remains in force until the end of 10 March 2023. The 2021 Order would otherwise remain in force until the end of 16 March 2022.
