THE TRADING WITH THE ENEMY (ENEMY TERRITORY CESSATION) (UNION OF SOVIET SOCIALIST REPUBLICS) ORDER, 1946, DATED SEPTEMBER 25, 1946, MADE BY THE BOARD OF TRADE.

The Board of Trade in pursuance of the powers conferred upon them by the Trading with the Enemy Act, 1939 (hereinafter called "the Act"), and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf do hereby make the following Order:—

1. That area of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics which by virtue of Regulation 6 of the Defence (Trading with the Enemy) Regulations, 1940(a), was immediately prior to the date of this Order treated as enemy territory for the purposes of Sections 3A, 4, 5 and 7 of the Act and for the purposes of any Order made under Section 7 shall cease to be so treated as from the date of this Order.

2. Notwithstanding anything contained in Section 1 of the Act any person, unless the Board of Trade otherwise direct, may trade within the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics with any individual or body of persons (whether corporate or unincorporate) carrying on business therein.

3. For the purposes of this Order the "Union of Soviet Socialist Republics" means all the territory of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics excluding any territory which has come under the administration of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics since the 31st day of December, 1938.

4. This Order may be cited as the Trading with the Enemy (Enemy Territory Cessation) (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) Order, 1946.
