EXPLANATORY NOTE

The provisions of the Trading with the Enemy (Custodian) Order, 1939, which is an Order made under Section 7 of the Act, continue to apply to the property in the United Kingdom of persons in areas which have ceased to be in the occupation of the enemy until it is otherwise decided.

Paragraph 1of the present Order provides for the removal of this control in respect of the money and property of persons resident or carrying on business in Albania except of those who still remain within the definition of “enemy”under the Act, e.g. by reason of German incorporation.

Paragraph 2 of the present Order removes any restriction so far as Section 1 of the Trading with the Enemy Act, 1939, is concerned on trading within Albania with any person carrying on business therein.
