(ii) Channel Islands and Specified Countries

THE TRADING WITH THE ENEMY (CUSTODIAN) (AMENDMENT) (CHANNEL ISLANDS) ORDER, 1940, DATED JUNE 5, 1940, MADE BY THE BOARD OF TRADE UNDER SECTION 7 OF THE TRADING WITH THE ENEMY ACT, 1939 (2 & 3 GEO. 6. C. 89).

The Board of Trade in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by Section 7 of the Trading with the Enemy Act, 1939, and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf do hereby make the following Order:—

1. In the application of the Trading with the Enemy (Custodian) Order, 1939(a), to the Channel Islands—

(a) Paragraph (iii) of Article 2 shall be deleted and there shall be substituted therefor the following paragraph, namely:—

"(iii) A Vesting Order as respects property of any description shall upon registration by the Royal Court be sufficient to vest in the Custodian any property or the right to transfer any property as provided by the Vesting Order without the necessity for any further conveyance, assurance or document."

(b) In paragraph (iii) of Article 5 the expression "Channel Islands" shall be substituted for the expression "United Kingdom" wherever the latter expression appears; and

(c) In paragraph (i) of Article 6 the expression "Royal Court" shall be substituted for the expression "Board of Trade".
