TREASURY MINUTE, DATED FEBRUARY 22, 1883, AS TO THE LAYING BEFORE PARLIAMENT OF ANNUAL RETURNS OF THE MONEY RECEIVED FOR STAMPS UNDER THE PUBLIC OFFICES FEES ACT, 1866,(a) IN RESPECT OF EVERY DEPARTMENT OR OFFICE.

My Lords have read the 8th section of the Public Offices Fees Act, 1866, under which they are ordered to present every year to both Houses of Parliament the account kept by the Commissioners of Inland Revenue of the money received for stamps under that Act in respect of every department or office.

The return required by the Act is included in the finance accounts, in the detailed statement of the gross receipts and net produce of the revenue, under the head of stamps; but a duplicate of the account is annually presented to both Houses of Parliament, and printed for the House of Commons, though not for the House of Lords.

My Lords are pleased to direct, under the powers given to them by the Act 32 & 33 Vict. c. 86,(b) that the separate return entitled "Inland Revenue (Fee Stamps)" shall...
