In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by sections 17(3) and 85(1) of the Diseases of Animals Act 1950(a) (as read with the Transfer of Functions (Animal Health) Order 1955(b) and of all other powers enabling me in that behalf and with the consent of the Treasury I hereby make the following order: —

Citation, interpretation and commencement

1. This order, which may be cited as the Tuberculosis (Compensation) (Scotland) Amendment Order 1972, shall be construed as one with the Tuberculosis (Compensation) (Scotland) Order 1964(c) (in this order referred to as "the principal order"), and shall come into operation on 1st June 1972.

Amendment of principal order

2. In Article 4(2) of the principal order (which prescribed scales of compensation for bovine animals slaughtered under section 17 of the Act) the reference in sub-paragraph (a) thereof to the sum of £120 shall be amended by the substitution therefor of a reference to the sum of £180.
