RATING AND VALUATION

The Valuation Timetable (Scotland) Amendment Order 1995

Made 14th September 1995

Coming into force 15th September 1995

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 13(1) and 42(1) of the Valuation and Rating (Scotland) Act 19561and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Valuation Timetable (Scotland) Amendment Order 1995 and shall come into force on 15th September 1995.

2. Paragraph (i) of the fifth entry in column 2 of the Schedule to the Valuation Timetable (Scotland) Order 19952(last date for lodging of appeals and complaints) is hereby amended by substituting, for the words “15th September”, the words “15th December”.

The Valuation Timetable (Scotland) Order 1995 prescribed dates on which, and periods within which, various things require to be done in relation to valuation rolls coming into force on or after 1st April 1995. This Order amends that Order as regards the last date for the lodging of appeals and complaints with a valuation appeal committee. At present the date is the later of two dates, one of which is 15th September in the year of revaluation. This Order substitutes for that date a reference to 15th December in that year.
