- FIRST BUSINESS TO PAY USD30.1M FOR ASLIN GROUP

US bank holding company First Business Financial Services Inc (NASDAQ:FBIZ) has sealed a final deal to buy local peer Aslin Group Inc and its wholly-owned subsidiary Alterra Bank in a USD30.1m (EUR22.1m) cash and stock deal, the parties said.

- LOEWS'S HIGHMOUNT UNIT STUDIES STRATEGIC OPTIONS, INCLUDING SALE

US diversified group Loews Corporation (NYSE:L) said that its oil and gas unit HighMount Exploration & Production LLC was looking into strategic options, including a sale.

- SOUTHERN POWER,TURNER RENEWABLE ENERGY BUY SOLAR PLANT IN NEW MEXICO

US energy company Southern Co (NYSE:SO) said its unit Southern Power and Turner Renewable Energy had bought the 50MW Macho Springs solar facility in New Mexico.

- FNB BANCORP TO BUY VALLEY COMMUNITY BANK

US bank holding company FNB Bancorp (OTCMKTS:FNBG), parent of First National Bank of Northern California, said it had agreed to buy domestic lender Valley Community Bank (OTCMKTS:VCBC), or VCB.

Status: Agreed

- GREENE KING ENDS PURSUIT OF ORCHID

UK pub retailer and brewer Greene King plc (LON:GNK) said that it had decided to pull back from the bidding process for local pub company Orchid Group as it believes that the transaction did not comply with its strict acquisition criteria.

Status: Terminated

- ROSNEFT AGREES TO ACQUIRE SANORS

Russian state-run oil giant Rosneft OAO (MCX:ROSN) signed an agreement to buy local petrochemical company Sanors Holding Limited for an undisclosed amount.

Status: Agreed

- LUNDBECK LAUNCHES CHELSEA THERAPEUTICS OFFER

Danish drugmaker H Lundbeck A/S (CPH:LUN) said it had launched a tender offer of up to USD7.94 (EUR5.83) per share for US biopharmaceutical development firm Chelsea Therapeutics International Ltd (NASDAQ:CHTP).

- UIL EXTENDS CNG PREFERRED STOCK OFFER TO 5 JUNE

US diversified energy delivery company UIL Holdings Corp (NYSE:UIL) said it had extended to 5 June its tender offer of USD10.25 (EUR7.53) for each USD3.125 par preferred share of its subsidiary Connecticut Natural Gas Corp (CNG).

Status: Bidding, Agreed

- MANNING & NAPIER CLOSES BUY OF INVESTMENT MANAGER 2100 XENON

US investment solutions provider Manning and Napier Inc (NYSE:MN) said it had closed its acquisition of local investment manager 2100 Xenon Group LLC for an undisclosed amount.

Status: Closed

- UNION EQUITY CLOSES BIO MEDICAL DEAL

US holding company Union Equity Inc (OTCMKTS:UNQT) said it had closed its cash-and-stock acquisition of Bio Medical Inc.

Status: Closed

- HNA DISCUSSES BUY OF INTESA STAKE IN NH HOTELES

Chinese conglomerate HNA Group, a main shareholder in NH Hoteles SA (BME:NHH), said that it was discussing a potential purchase of some of Italian bank Intesa Sanpaolo SpA's (BIT:ISP) interest in the Spanish hotels group.

- AGCO ANNOUNCES AGREEMENT TO ACQUIRE INTERSYSTEMS

US agricultural equipment specialist Agco Corp (NYSE:AGCO) has signed a deal to buy local manufacturer of material handling equipment Intersystems Holdings Inc and a subsidiary, the buyer said.

- REPSOL SELLS REMAINING YPF STAKE

Spanish oil and gas group Repsol SA (MCE:REP) said it had sold its remaining 0.48% stake in Argentine sector business YPF SA (BCBA:YPFD), without specifying the buyer.

- F5 NETWORKS ANNOUNCES BUY OF DEFENSE.NET

US application delivery networking (ADN) technology company F5 Networks Inc (NASDAQ:FFIV) said it had acquired domestic cloud-based security services provider Defense.Net Inc, without providing financial details.

- POCHIN'S TAKES MORE TIME FOR NEGOTIATIONS WITH SUITOR

UK construction group Pochin's PLC (LON:PCH) said it extended the deadline for a potential takeover offer by director James Nicholson and other investors to 23 June to allow ongoing discussions to continue beyond the previous deadline that was set to expire on 26 May.

- ROSNEFT TO FORM GAS JV WITH RUSSIAN INVESTOR ALLTECH

Russian state-run oil giant Rosneft OAO (MCX:ROSN) said it had agreed to form a joint venture with domestic investor Alltech Group to develop the gas business in the Nenets Autonomous District.

- GENERALI, MEDIOBANCA TO EXIT TELECOM ITALIA NEXT MONTH - REPORT

Italian insurer Assicurazioni Generali SpA (BIT:G) and local lender Mediobanca SpA (BIT:MB), both shareholders in Telecom Italia SpA (BIT:TIT), will offload their holdings in the country's largest telecom company in June.
