US real estate investment trust AMB Property (NYSE:AMB) and distribution facilities provider ProLogis (NYSE:PLD) have concluded the combination of their businesses, forming an entity with an estimated pro forma equity market capitalisation of USD15.7bn (EUR10.8bn).

- L-1 IDENTITY SAYS US GOVT STARTS 45-DAY PROBE INTO SAFRAN DEAL
US security software and services firm L-1 Identity Solutions (NYSE:ID) said the US committee on foreign investment had initiated a 45-day investigation into the companyâ[euro](tm)s sale to French defence group Safran (EPA:SAF), after having finished its 30-day review.

- KBC DISMISSES KBL'S ALLEGED SALE IN PARTS
Belgian financial services group KBC (EBR:KBC) denied rumours that it would sell its KBL European Private Bankers unit in parts.

- GLOBE SPECIALTY METALS TO BUY ALDEN RESOURCES IN USD73.2M DEAL
US silicon metal manufacturer Globe Specialty Metals (NASDAQ:GSM) said it had inked a deal to take over local speciality coal miner Alden Resources in a cash deal valued at USD73.2m (EUR50.3m).

- GRUPO MODELO, MOLSON COORS BREWING WEIGH JOINT BID FOR FOSTER'S GROUP
Belgian AB Inbev's (EBR:ABI) 50%-owned unit, Mexican Grupo Modelo, and US-Canadian Molson Coors Brewing (NYSE:TAP) are understood to be preparing a joint bid for Australian alcoholic beverages producer Foster's Group (ASX:FGL).

- CAVU RESOURCES DIVESTS ENVIROTEK FUEL SYSTEMS
US energy company CAVU Resources (PINK:CAVR) said it had closed the divestment of pipeline operator EnviroTek Fuel Systems to Texas-based Energy Revenue America.

- WPP BUYS 70% IN BRAZILIAN DIGITAL AGENCY GRINGO
Irish communications and marketing services group WPP (LON:WPP) said it had taken 70% in Brazilian digital agency Gringo Publicidade, as it seeks to grow in the digital direct and interactive areas and enhance position in fast-growing markets.

- GOLAR LNG ANNOUNCES COMPULSORY BID FOR REST OF GOLAR LNG ENERGY
Bermuda-based liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers operator Golar LNG Limited (OSL:GOL) said it will take the remaining minority stake in Golar LNG Energy (OSL:GOLE) not acquired through its voluntary tender offer for the company, which expired at the end of May.

- BMB MUNAI STOCKHOLDERS VOTE TO SELL EMIR OIL TO MIE
Kazakhstan-based oil and gas company BMB Munai (AMEX:KAZ) said its shareholders cleared the disposal of its wholly-owned unit Emir Oil LLP to Chinese sector player MIE Holdings Corporation (HKG:1555).

- VR MERGERS & ACQUISITIONS CLOSES DEAL TO SELL LEEâ[euro](tm)S NURSERY
South Carolina-based nursery and landscaping business Leeâ[euro](tm)s Nursery has been acquired by an unknown party, VR Mergers & Acquisitions Charlotte, the firm that carried out the transaction, said in a press statement.

- WALGREEN CLOSES BUYOUT OF DRUGSTORE.COM
US drugstore chain Walgreen Co (NYSE:WAG) said it had finalised its takeover of online retailer drugstore.com for an enterprise value of nearly USD409m (EUR281.6m).

- CHINESE AUSNUTRIA BUYS CONTROL OF DUTCH HYPROCA DAIRY TO GROW
Chinese infant milk formula maker Ausnutria Dairy Corp (HKG:1717) said it had bought 51% in Dutch sector player Hyproca Dairy Group, as part of plans to set up an R&D base in the Netherlands for its global market.

- GEO SPECIALTY CHEMICALS TO BUY BASF'S BISOMER MONOMER OPERATIONS IN UK
US chemicals company GEO Specialty Chemicals said it has agreed to buy Cognis UKâ[euro](tm)s Bisomer monomer business from German sector player BASF (ETR:BAS) for an undisclosed price.

- EADS LOOKING AT BUYS IN USA, EMERGING MARKETS
European aerospace group EADS (EPA:EAD) is exploring acquisition opportunities in the defence, security and services sectors, mainly in the US and emerging markets worth USD1bn (EUR690m) each.

- DRC TO ACQUIRE HPTI FOR USD143M
US Dynamics Research Corporation (NASDAQ:DRCO), or DRC, said it had agreed to buy private high-end technology services provider High Performance Technologies (HPTi) for USD143m (EUR98.6m) in cash.

- EC BANS COMMERZBANK FROM BUYING ALL OF SCHIFFSBANK
The European Commission (EC) has prohibited German Commerzbank (ETR:CBK) from taking full control of Deutsche Schiffsbank before it repays the state aid it had previously obtained.
