- URS ACQUIRES COLLECTION SERVICES FIRM IN ILLINOIS

US accounts receivable management services provider United Recovery Systems LP (URS), part of investor Audax Group, said it had taken over Illinois-based collection services firm Enterprise Recovery Systems Inc (ERS).

- RUSSIA'S GAZPROM MULLS BID FOR GREEK GAS GROUP DEPA

Gazprom OJSC (MCX:GAZP) said it had discussed a potential bid for Greek state-controlled natural gas group DEPA with the Russian gas majorâ[euro](tm)s local joint venture, Prometheus Gas SA.

- AMR CORP DOES NOT RULE OUT MERGER - REPORT

AMR Corp, American Airlinesâ[euro](tm) parent which filed for bankruptcy in 2011, is not ruling out a merger with another carrier.

- UST GLOBAL BUYS MOBILE APPS SPECIALIST ANDARE

US IT services provider UST Global Inc said in a statement it had acquired local mobile applications firm Andare LLC for a non-specified amount.

- ATLAS RESOURCE PARTNERS BUYS CERTAIN CARRIZO OIL & GAS ASSETS FOR USD190M

US oil and gas exploration firm Atlas Resource Partners (NYSE:ARP) said it had struck a final deal to buy certain gas assets of local energy firm Carrizo Oil & Gas Inc (NASDAQ:CRZO) agreeing to pay USD190m (EUR146m).

- ADMINISTRATORS EXTEND BID DEADLINE FOR PETROPLUS REFINERY IN FRANCE

The administrators of Swiss oil refiner Petroplus Holdings SA's (VTX:PPHN) Petit-Couronne unit in France extended to 5 April from 15 March the deadline for bids to buy the refinery, Petroplus Raffinage Petit-Couronne (PRPC) said in a statement.

- ECT I NEGOTIATES TIE-UP WITH BELGIAN ELECTRAWINDS

Luxembourg-based special purpose acquisition firm European CleanTech I SE (FRA:ECT), or ECT I, said it is holding discussions about a possible tie-up with Belgian cleantech firm Electrawinds NV.

- BAWAG NO LONGER SEEKING MERGER WITH VOLKSBANKEN

Byron Haynes, CEO of Austrian lender BAWAG PSK, said his bank was no longer keen to merge with bailed-out sector player Volksbanken and will not resume talks on the tie-up that were frozen 18 months ago.

- MPS FOUNDATION TO SELL LESS BANCA MONTE DEI PASCHI SHARES - REPORT

Monte dei Paschi di Siena (MPS) Foundation has reduced to between 12% and 13% from 15.5% the volume of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:BMPS), or MPS, shares it plans to sell.

- SANOFI TO TAKE OVER MEDICAL DEVICE FIRM PLUROMED

French drug maker Sanofi SA (EPA:SAN) said it had agreed to take over US medical device company Pluromed Inc, in a bid to enhance its biosurgery portfolio.

- US AED BUYS IRISH OIL EXPLORER RESERVOIR RESOURCES

US energy firm American Energy Development Corp (OTCBB:AEDC), or AED, said it had taken over Ireland-based Reservoir Resources Ltd, holder of the Windsor Prospect licence for the oil and gas Weald Basin in the UK, in a USD12.5m (EUR9.6m) all-stock deal.

- FOUR INVESTORS POUR USD1.6BN INTO CHINESE ASSET MANAGER CINDA

Swiss bank UBS AG, British Standard Chartered Plc (LON:STAN), CITIC Capital and Chinaâ[euro](tm)s pension fund National Social Security Fund have invested a total CNY10.4bn (USD1.6bn/EUR1.3bn) in Chinese Cinda Asset Management Corp in exchange for a 16.5% stake in the asset manager, the target firm said in a statement.

- UNIVERSAL MAY OFFER NO REMEDIES FOR EMI DEAL YET - REPORT

Universal Music Group Inc, part of French media group Vivendi SA (EPA:VIV), is not likely at this time to propose any remedies to win the approval of the European Commission (EC) for its USD1.9bn (EUR1.5bn) takeover of British EMIâ[euro](tm)s recorded-music unit.

The insolvency administrator of German solar power specialist Solar Millennium has sold various parts of the company for an undiclosed price.

- SANOMA WRAPS UP EUR181.5M SALE OF DNA STAKE

Finnish diversified media group Sanoma Corp (HEL:SAA1V) said in a statement it had finalised the sale of its 21.11% stake in local telecommunications company DNA Ltd for EUR181.5m (USD237.1m) in cash.

- SIEMENS CLOSES TAKEOVER BID FOR CANADA'S RUGGEDCOM

German engineering giant Siemens AG (ETR:SIE) said it had concluded its bid to acquire RuggedCom Inc (TSE:RCM) after securing 97.6% of the Canadian communications equipment firm.

- SOUTHEASTERN ASSET MANAGEMENT TRIMS HOLDING IN OLYMPUS TO 3.95%

US fund Southeastern Asset Management said in a regulatory filing it had slashed its shareholding in Japanese electronics giant Olympus Corp (TYO:7733) to 3.95%.

- BAYER DOUBTS SUCCESS OF BID FOR PFIZER'S ANIMAL-HEALTH UNIT - REPORT

German drug maker Bayer AG (ETR:BAYN) does not believe there is too much of a chance for it to succeed in buying the animal-health subsidiary of US biopharmaceutical company Pfizer Inc (NYSE:PFE).

- INTERRAO OFFERS TO BUY OUT OGK-1, OGK-3 MINORITIES

Russian power producer and trader InterRAO UES (RTC:IRAO) said it had offered to buy out minority shareholders in OGK-1 (RTD:OGKA) and OGK-3 (MCX:OGKC) and take full control of the two domestic power utilities.

- INTERRAO WANTS TO SELL STAKE TO INVESTORS

Russian energy producer and trader InterRAO (MCX:IRAO) is negotiating with interested parties the sale of a 2% to 3% stake in itself and aims at a premium price, Ilnar Mirsiyapov, the groupâ[euro](tm)s chief of strategy and board member, told reporters.

- AMUR SHIPYARD SHAREHOLDERS FAIL TO CLEAR DEAL WITH UCS

Russian Amur Shipyard said in a statement that its shareholders did not greenlight the planned share purchase by state-run United Shipbuilding Corp (USC).

- INTERRAO CLEARS SALE OF ENEL OGK-5 STAKE TO FUNDS

State-owned Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), part of the group buying InterRAOâ[euro](tm)s (MCX:IRAO) stake in Enel OGK-5, said in a statement that the energy trader had cleared the divestment of its 26.43% stake in the wholesale power generator.

- CARLYLE'S STAKE IN TA CHONG LURES NO BUYERS
