The Oasis legend, 55, summoned his High Flying Birds to perch at the historic grade I listed former Georgian cloth hall for a Tuesday evening show under the summer sun. Despite there being three albums from Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds the Britpop icon has never ignored those special Oasis songs which made him a musical great

And, the Halifax setlist had a very noticeable transition.

The gig started with some High Flying Birds calling cards with Holy

Mountain and We're on Our Way Now landing well with the adoring masses - many adorned in Oasis merch and bucket hats. There was the odd parka, of course a signature of former bandmate brother Liam Gallagher, which must have been sweltering.

Little By Little led into The Importance of Being Idle which was then followed by Whatever with each song, made famous by Noel and Liam Gallagher, being sung back louder and louder by the adoring crowd - who on a couple of occasions probably overstepped the acceptable mark of rowdiness.

That aside, it was abundantly clear those songs carry such...
