Aqua Pennsylvania to Acquire Greenville, Pennsylvania Water System for USD 18m.

Aqua Pennsylvania, a subsidiary of US-based Essential Utilities, Inc. (NYSE: WTRG), has agreed to acquire the Greenville, Pennsylvania water system for USD 18m, the company said.

Transaction builds on more than USD 335m in current purchase agreements and is expected to close in the third quarter of 2024.

The water treatment plant and distribution system are currently operated by the Greenville Municipal Water Authority.

The system consists of 40 miles of main line in Greenville, Hempfield Township and West Salem Township with nearly 3,000 service connections.
