The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC has said it had "significant concerns" about reports of price hikes in COVID-19 rapid antigen tests, Reuters news agency reported on Monday.

The competition regulator has sought information from suppliers, retailers and pharmacy chains about rising costs.

Chair of ACCC, Rod Sims, said that there were reports of kits costing even up to AUD500 at online retailers and AUD70 per test at stores when they were available for around AUD10 at pharmacies weeks ago.
